Undertaking study at TAFE Ultimo with Trent Firth and Donna Thomas, Andrew was trained at Seiko Australia under Roger Brinkman – the only watchmaker qualified as a Grand Seiko Technician in the Southern Hemisphere. After leaving Seiko, establishing Muir Horology was the next logical step to be able to continue to perform in his chosen career despite the obstacles to overcome.

As an Independent Watchmaker Andrew is deeply involved in the industry and is an active member of the WCA, attending their many events throughout the year. He enjoys building and supporting the community and the industry through broadened knowledge and understanding. Continually educating himself and keeping up to date with industry news and the latest updates and advances within watchmaking. He hopes to take on an apprentice in the future, once the business can support it, in order to pass his knowledge on to future generations of horological enthusiasts.
